We regret to announce that our scheduled speaker, CJ Urnes, has come down with COVID, so he will not be able to speak about insects during our meeting this Wednesday, October 16, 2024. In CJ’s place, Bob Boekelheide will present a program about the owls of the north Olympic Peninsula.

From little Northern Pygmy Owls to big Great Horned Owls, Bob will discuss their current status on the north Olympic Peninsula, based on our Christmas Bird Count and other ramblings in the woods at night. If the weather cooperates, we might try to find some owls at Railroad Bridge Park as part of the program.
