2025 Conservation Awards

By Bob Phreaner

Each year we recognize and thank those in our community who have made meaningful contributions to birds and their habitat. Each, in their own special way, took noteworthy actions to save, protect, teach, and advocate for the birds that live among us. Our conservation awards are recommended by our Conservation Committee and can go to deserving people and organizations in our community. We presented the awards at our September 17th meeting.

This year our Conservation Award was presented to Barbara Blackie. In addition, Barbara accepted an award for her Biology Technician, Joey Gish, who was out of town. Click on the certificates below the photo to read their accomplishments.
