Donate to Support Our Mission
We are a volunteer chapter of the National Audubon Society, working to protect birds and their habitats on the Olympic Peninsula. Surrounded by mountains, ocean, and the Salish Sea, our region hosts an extraordinary diversity of birds and serves as a vital stopover for many migrants.
OPAS organizes year-round events and programs, including birding trips, the Backyard Birding classes, the Scholarships Program, and the Olympic BirdFest. Members also support conservation and bird‑friendly community initiatives across the Peninsula.

Donate to Birdathon
Each year on the second Saturday of May in Canada and the US, OPAS celebrates World Migratory Bird Day with the Clallam County Birdathon—a county‑wide count that helps us better understand the birds of the Olympic Peninsula.
Your Birdathon donation supports our bird‑friendly community projects, nest‑box construction and maintenance, local bird‑population monitoring, and our high‑school scholarships. It also helps underwrite operations at the Dungeness River Nature Center, strengthening both OPAS programs and the Center’s educational work.
Thank you for supporting this effort. Please use the secure form below to donate. You may dedicate your gift in honor or in memory of someone.
