Welcome to the Annual Wenas Campout!

Any time/arrival: Select a site, set up camp, and sign in at the Campout Headquarters Welcome Tent. Campout hosts arrive on Thursday, May 28. Please note that trips may be added or removed prior to the campout. This schedule can be used for general planning.

While the Wenas Campout historically took place Memorial Day weekend, in 2023 the organizing committee shifted this popular event to avoid the increasingly crowded Memorial Day weekend use of the camp area. With this shift, the area has been quieter and the change allows for a better bird and nature experience. Evening program speakers will be scheduled Friday and Saturday.

The organizing committee is hard at work planning the field trips, guest speakers, children’s activities, live music, and the ever-popular sanitation stations. We hope you’ll join us for the return of this beloved, all-welcome event celebrating the natural beauty of the Wenas Wildlife Area!
