"Partners in Birding" and Awards Video

On June 17, the Partners in Birding program was recorded on Zoom, where OPAS presented the Conservation Award, Career Conservation Award, and Harlequin Award to recognize individuals in our community and within OPAS whose outstanding work has protected birds and their habitats. The full program is now available as a YouTube video for those who were unable to attend.

Our featured speaker, Michael Glore, offered a heartfelt and engaging talk that traced his journey from a nature‑loving boy to a National Park Service ranger and, ultimately, to Executive Director of the Dungeness River Nature Center. Rather than outlining a formal vision for the River Center’s future, he shared stories that revealed his deep connection to the natural world, his appreciation for OPAS’s partnership, and his eagerness to learn more about birds as he settles into his role. Press play and enjoy the video—it's a wonderful program worth watching.
