Watch the February 19, 2025 video presentation by CJ Urnes, field biologist and ecologist, as he explores the magnificent world of local insects, revealing their fascinating distributions and incredible adaptations. Learn how these insects can sometimes be more spectacular than our most colorful birds. Despite their beauty, ecological importance, and vulnerability, only a handful of studies have examined the insects of the Olympic Peninsula. CJ discusses his own research on insects within Olympic National Park and how to use iNaturalist to identify and catalog them.
