Calling all bird enthusiasts! Did you know that windows in the U.S. cause over a billion bird fatalities each year? Join us to help make a difference! In this interactive, one-evening workshop, you'll learn practical steps to make your home a safe haven for migrating birds just in time for spring migration. All materials included.
We'll kick off with a short presentation on the importance of bird-safe spaces, followed by a hands-on demonstration of effective solutions. Then, roll up your sleeves as we work together to create Acopian bird savers - simple, effective tools you can install at home.
This workshop is less than two hours but will have a lasting impact on the birds visiting your yard. Let's come together to protect our feathered friends and make a safer world, one window at a time!
Student Learning Outcomes:
Participants will learn background information on the problem of bird strikes and be informed on how to make their homes safer for birds.
Participants will learn how to make bird saving devices which can be installed on their windows at home.
