Calling all bird enthusiasts! Did you know that windows in the U.S. cause over a billion bird fatalities each year? Join us to help make a difference! In this interactive, one-evening workshop, you'll learn practical steps to make your home a safe haven for migrating birds just in time for spring migration. All materials included.

We'll kick off with a short presentation on the importance of bird-safe spaces, followed by a hands-on demonstration of effective solutions. Then, roll up your sleeves as we work together to create Acopian bird savers - simple, effective tools you can install at home.

This workshop is less than two hours but will have a lasting impact on the birds visiting your yard. Let's come together to protect our feathered friends and make a safer world, one window at a time!

Student Learning Outcomes:

  • Participants will learn background information on the problem of bird strikes and be informed on how to make their homes safer for birds.

  • Participants will learn how to make bird saving devices which can be installed on their windows at home.
