OPAS Field Trip: "Birding for Everyone"

Leader: Marie Grad

Saturday, October, 18, 9:00 a.m.

Meet in the parking lot at the Dungeness River Nature Center

Participant limit: 12— Registration and signed liability form required. Register below.

Free

Features: Fall migration is in full swing during October. Even though there are many species of birds that are yearlong residents, some birds will migrate to their wintering habitats, while others will arrive here to spend the winter. White-crowned Sparrows will be replaced by Golden-crowned Sparrows for example.

Everyone is welcome; however, this trip is intended for individuals who are new to birding.

Bring: Binoculars if you have them. The River Center does have loaner binoculars. They are available at the front desk of the center. I will have a spotting scope to share with the group. Dress for the weather.

Special Requirements: No experience required.

Liability Form: We ask field trip participants to sign a liability release form before the day of the trip. This signed form will be good for future field trips. It’s preferred that you eSign the liability release form by clicking here.
